I ended last week’s letter with “It’s Worth It”. When I wrote those words, I sensed heaven SO strongly behind that “fight song”. I sensed the Lord say YES! TELL THEM! Tell them it’s worth it! It’s worth the adjustments that need to be made, it’s worth the self-discipline that needs to go deeper, it’s worth facing your demons of the past, it’s worth forgiving your spouse, it’s worth saying NO to the promotion of man, it’s worth waiting when I tell you to wait, it’s worth every penny of getting good martial counseling, it’s worth every dinner time moment together, it’s worth every date night and family vacation, it’s worth learning a new way that you didn’t know, IT’S WORTH IT!! I hear heaven saying THIS IS MY WAY, THIS IS MY HEART! 

See in the beginning (Gen 2:26-28) God created man and women and joined them together in MARRIAGE and commissioned them with their FAMILY to fill the earth and rule over it! When sin entered the earth, this did not cancel that first great commission from God to humanity—it simply just made it harder to accomplish. It’s no coincidence that God blesses Adam and Eve giving them the greatest honor ever to co-create with Christ and have authority in the earth and then a few moments later Satan enters the garden to get them to question what God has said to them. You have to know that when Satan heard all that God wanted to do through Adam and Eve and their family that Satan was terrified. Now not only would Satan have God to look at in the earth but now He would have an earth FILLED with what looked like and acted like God in humanity. Satan’s plan from that moment on was to stop this plan, to stop the family, to deform it, to ruin it, to distract it from the work God wants to do through it. 

Here is the truth GOD wants to do something beautiful through your family in the earth…PERIOD. There is territory He has for you to take together, there are businesses he wants you to create together, and there are things no eye has seen nor ear has heard that God wants to birth through your home. There is a bond He wants you to build together, a unity He wants you to function in together, a love He wants you to have for one another, and an awareness and dependence upon God. He wants to be at the center of your four walls; and here is the good news, it doesn’t matter what state your family is in right now. GOD himself wants to heal it, and HE CAN HEAL IT! He can do it! I have seen it with my own eyes… Moms and Dads’ hearts come back to each other, parents repenting to their kids and turning in a new direction to lead their family in. Adult kids coming home and turning from brokenness; parents healing from their abusive home past to forge a new way for their family…Too many times I have seen it. HE CAN DO IT! We just have to be willing and open for Him too!

Believe me, I know and sense the road has been hard for some of you, family has been a source of deep pain and disappointment, and even as I write this I know some of you want to buck me and say “You don’t know, and you can’t understand Gabrielle” and you are right I cannot, but I am not writing this to draw you to me, I am writing this to draw you to the one who DOES understand. You are here reading these words for a reason! For such a time as this actually, and I hear heaven cheering for you, I hear heaven inviting you to Believe God! On your own you cannot do it, on your own your family cannot be healed, on your own your husband will not change, on your own your teenager’s heart will not be softened towards you…BUT WITH GOD…IT IS POSSIBLE. He is not asking you to believe in you to do it, He is asking you to BELIEVE HIM to do it! It’s worth the fight mama! It’s worth every inch, mile, and penny of it and you are not alone, GOD IS WITH YOU!

I am believing for our homes to be and accomplish ALL that God has marked out for us! That God would continue to build His Earth through our homes like He’s wanted to since the beginning of creation! That as moms and dads, we would see where the enemy has tried to disrupt, corrupt, distract and deform us and we would run fiercely back toward what God has for our homes. That we would hear heaven's fight song “IT IS WORTH IT” and we would take steps of faith in prayer, in counsel, in action, and in relationship this week out of the heart of “IT IS WORTH IT”.
